The festive season is a great excuse to make some fun tea-infused cocktails to impress friends and family. Here are a few favourites (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to warm up your gatherings:

Chai-Spiced Mulled Wine

For a twist on the traditional mulled wine, this warming drink combines the richness of chai spices with the coziness of mulled wine—perfect to celebrate the Christmas season.

Ingredients:

1 bottle good quality red wine (Merlot works well)

2 oranges

4 lemons

10g Karma's Kolkata Chai

3tsp brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Add the wine to a large saucepan.
  2. Add the sliced lemons to the wine.
  3. Cut two oranges in half and add to the pan.
  4. Place the loose Karma Chai into a paper tea filter, and add to the pan.
  5. Warm on a low heat.
  6. Add the brown sugar and gently stir.  Let it warm for at least 15-20 minutes. Remove the tea filter.
  7. Continue to simmer (the longer, the better), and occasionally stir.
  8. Ladle the mulled wine into mugs.

  3. Add an orange peel for garnish.

  •  240ml water

Instructions :

  1. Put the hibiscus flowers and sugar into a saucepan.
  2. Pour in the water and then heat the pan gently, stirring frequently until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Take off the heat and leave the syrup to infuse for 15 minutes.
